The one thing I like to do most is giving presents. That’s why I chose this picture of me and my husband distributing Christmas present to our office staff and their families.
I love nature. I used to love going camping, but since we can not do it anymore we turned our backyard into a little wilderness.
My husband and I have been married for 38 years. I have two sons, and Anna, our little granddaughter.
I started carving by 1994 and (of course) am still learning. In January 2007 I joined the Ontario Wood Carvers Association (OWCA) and started visiting the Northern Carving Club in Richmond Hill.
I have written three books, none of them related to carving.
Until February of 2007, all of my carvings were done for relaxation and purely for enjoyment.
In February 2007 I accepted my first commission work!
Now that I am semiretired, I am planning to spend more time on carving, and will update this list if anything worth mentioning happens.
Started the “ribbon collection”. On March 19, 2007 the OWCA had its yearly in-house competition. I submitted 3 items to the novice level, and came home with one first and two second place finish
The Ontario Wood Carvers Association held its Annual Competition and Show in October 2007. I entered two carvings, both had been awarded first place in their own categories
As I am entering more competition, I started a new menu option “Awards”, please see it for the competition results.
